The company was established in The Hague in 1958, when Mr Kraakman set up the import of MEZ electric motors from Czechoslovakia. Then it turned out that there was a growing market for standard electric motors in industry. Also the space occupied by the company became inadequate, due to increased turnover and the need for storage. The company was eventually forced to relocate, both due to a lack of room for expansion and the inability to employ (qualified) personnel.
In May 2004 the firm took over all Exico Limited's business and staff in the electric propulsion industry in Wellinborough, UK. The company continued with J. Hodek, managing director of Exico Limited, in the electric motors division since 1991. With this take-over, the company expects to be able to provide an even better and faster service specifically for its UK customers.
At the beginning of 2004 the company received a new certificate. In perfect harmony with the company's philosophy, its employees are committed to continuous improvement and adaptation. A process which is, of course, in the interests of their customers!
It is well known around the world that the brand has been a trusted supplier of IEC/DIN electric motors for over 50 years.
The company's mechanical and electrical specialists are constantly trying, together with their customers, to find the perfect balance between technology and commerce. The firm has its motors in stock in the Netherlands. The manufacturer's team delivers around 100,000 motors of up to 400 kW 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles around the world each year, in all types of performance. A 24-hour worldwide service centre is a guarantee of immediate assistance in case of emergency. The company has agents and dealers worldwide.
The company supplies specially made engines to the global market. 30% in the Netherlands, where, as you might imagine, the company has been the market leader for over 25 years. Some 35% of the export turnover is linked to Japan, which is the most important export country for the company. For more than 15 years, the company has had very good business opportunities. General production:
AZU. At Academisch Ziekenhuis Utrecht (AZU University Hospital Utrecht) electric motors play an important role for electric drive pumps, compressors and fans.
KM8. As a manufacturer and supplier of electric motors, the brand was involved in the development of the KM8 automatic cardboard machine at the Beukema & Co. cardboard production plant in Hoogezand. The company supplied electric motors for colander, press and drying equipment. The motors were manufactured with the specific conditions in the production halls in mind. In a cardboard factory, it is dusty and humid, so special attention must be paid to protection, avoiding water and dust ingress.
Petrochemical and chemical:
The manufacturer is ATEX certified. The brand is the first company in the field of drive technology to comply with the European ATEX directive (ATEX directive 94/9/EG) for the manufacture of equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres (gas and dust). The company has obtained the ATEX certification from KEMA.
Oil installations :
For oil production installations in Siberia, the company supplies compression-resistant electric motors (Marelli Motori) and frequency controls (Heenan). The frequency controllers adjust the speed of multiphase pumps depending on the oil/gas ratio of the oil mixture being pumped.
The drive is suitable for ambient temperatures from -40 to +45 degrees Celsius. Both for electric motors and frequency controllers the company can supply all necessary Russian certificates.
